摘要
Objective. This study used digital surveillance to examine the impact of Angelina Jolie's prophylactic mastectomy announcement on 癌症 資訊 seeking. Methods. We analyzed 4 categories of breast 癌症-related Internet search queries from 2010 to 2013 in the United States. Results. Compared with the preceding 6 weeks, general 資訊 queries were 112% (95% confidence interval [CI], 79-146) higher the day of the announcement and remained 35% (95% CI, 22-49) higher over the week after the editorial.
