摘要
In this article we explore the theoretical limits of the inference of 文化 傳播 modes based on sparse 族群-level data. We approach this problem by investigating whether diffferent 傳播 modes produce diffferent temporal dynamics of 文化 change. In particular, we explore whether diffferent 傳播 modes result in sufficiently diffferent distributions of the average time a variant stays the most common variant in the 族群, t(max), so that their inference can be guaranteed on the basis of an estimate of tmax.
