摘要
The role of 氣候 forcing in the 族群 dynamics of infectious 疾病s has typically been revealed via retrospective analyses of incidence records aggregated across space and, in particular, over whole cities. Here, we focus on the 傳播 dynamics of rota病毒, the main diarrheal 疾病 in infants and young children, within the megacity of Dhaka, Bangladesh. We identify two zones, the densely 城市ized core and the more rural periphery, that respond differentially to flooding. Moreover, 疾病 seasonality differs substantially between these regions, spanning variation comparable to the variation from tropical to temperate regions. By combining process-based models with an extensive 疾病 surveillance record, we show that the response to 氣候 forcing is mainly seasonal in the core, where a more endemic 傳播 resulting from an
