摘要
The dynamics of 族群s evolving on an adaptive landscape depends on multiple factors, including the structure of the landscape, the rate of 突變s, and effective 族群 size. Existing theoretical work often makes ad hoc and simplifying assumptions about landscape structure, whereas experimental work can vary important parameters only to a limited extent. We here overcome some of these limitations by simulating the adaptive 演化 of RNA molecules, whose fitness is determined by the 熱力學s of RNA secondary structure folding. We study the influence of 突變 rates and 族群 sizes on final mean 族群 fitness, on the substitution rates of 突變s, and on 族群 多樣性. We show that 演化ary dynamics cannot be understood as a function of 突變 rate mu, 族群 size N, or 族群 突變 rate N mu alone. For example, at a given 突變 rate, clonal interfer
