摘要
Infectious 疾病 threats to individual and public health are numerous, varied and frequently unexpected. 人工智慧 (AI) and related technologies, which are already supporting human decision making in 經濟s, medicine and 社會 science, have the potential to transform the scope and power of infectious 疾病 流行病學. Here we consider the application to infectious 疾病 modelling of AI systems that combine 機器學習, 計算 statistics, 資訊 retrieval and data science. We first outline how recent advances in AI can accelerate breakthroughs in answering key 流行病學ological questions and we discuss specific AI methods that can be applied to routinely collected infectious 疾病 surveillance data.
